Poetry at the Tissue Farm Saturday Afternoon

Anjali Soi will read poetry at the Tissue Farm from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday, September 5.
The reading takes place inside Antagony, Oreen Cohen’s solo show of paintings and sculpture, which has been up since August. Soi will read from “Velvet Evenings,” one of her three collections. Cohen says the poems sit well against the paintings, which is the whole reason for putting them in the same room on the same afternoon.
Soi has worked as a dance artist in Pittsburgh for close to twenty years and has practiced evolutionary astrology since 2014. Her other books are “Poetic Meditations for the Astrological Journey,” an adult coloring book, and “Poetic Meditations for the Evolutionary Journey.”
If you have not seen Antagony yet, this is a good excuse. If you have, the poems give you a second way in.
The show runs through September 21, with a closing reception from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, September 20.
