The Mountain Watershed Association holds its Indian Creek Watershed Festival on Saturday, Sept. 26, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Indian Creek Valley Community Center pavilions in Saltlick Township, Fayette County. Admission is free, and so is lunch.

Fishing, stream exploring, nature crafts, eco-art, yard games and hands-on learning stations, all set up along the creek next to the playground. Kids get a free entry in the Indian Creek Duck Race. Donations go toward the lunches.

MWA is the Youghiogheny Riverkeeper organization, the same crew that runs the weekly summer swim reports at Ramcat. The office is at 1414-B Indian Creek Valley Road, Melcroft, 724-455-4200. Event page at mtwatershed.com.

Youghtoberfest is the same Saturday. Pick one, or leave early.
