Springs Folk Festival
The 68th Springs Folk Festival runs Friday and Saturday, Oct. 2 and 3, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the Springs Historical Society grounds at 1711 Springs Road, Springs, along Route 669 between Salisbury and Grantsville, Maryland. Admission is $7 for anyone 12 and over, $4 for ages 6 to 11, and free for 5 and under. Parking is free.
More than 100 juried artisans work the grounds alongside old-time farming demonstrations, music, hayrides and bread coming out of the oven all day. The museum is open and included in the price.
Groups of ten or more can pre-register and save a dollar a ticket. Call Becky Shoemaker at 814-662-4423, or write info@springspa.org. Details at springspa.org.
About 35 minutes from Confluence, and the drive over Route 669 in early October is most of the reason to go.
