William R. Benton, 87, Addison, passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at his home. He was born June 9, 1938 in Akron, OH, a son of William R. and Erma G. (Cutlip) Benton. His parents and a sister, Sharon Bosch preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Susan (Coss), a son, W. Robert Benton, Mayfield, OH, daughters, Peggy Miltenberger, Addison, C. Louann Fox, Ravenna, OH and M. Jeanne Benedetti, Brecksville, OH; 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and a sister, Janice Boyce, Sebring, OH. William served in the National Guard for a number of years, was an avid hunter, fisherman and gardener and along with his wife, attended State Line Methodist Church. There will be no viewing or funeral service at this time. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
