Free Family Field Day at Laurel Hill State Park June 28
The Mountain Watershed Association hosts a free Family Field Day at Laurel Hill State Park on Sunday, June 28, with nature crafts, activities and free boat rides.
The Mountain Watershed Association is hosting a free Family Field Day from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, June 28, at the Willis Pavilion next to Laurel Hill Lake in Laurel Hill State Park.
The day is built for families: nature crafts, hands-on activities, and the kind of learning that doesn’t feel like learning. Stick around a while and you can take a boat out on the lake. That’s free too.
More information is at mtwatershed.com/events.
The association is also looking for volunteers to run education stations during the event. Anyone willing to lend a hand can email Lindsey at Lindsey@mtwatershed.com.
Laurel Hill State Park is a short drive down the mountain from Confluence, which makes this an easy outing for families looking to get the kids outside before the summer heat sets in. Bring sunscreen. Bring the kids. Leave the screens at home.
