Somerset County residents can visit the Pittsburgh Zoo and Aquarium for $5 a person on Tuesday, July 14. Tickets are sold at the gate only, and updated residency guidelines apply.
Somerset County Zoo Day is back. On Tuesday, July 14, county residents can visit the Pittsburgh Zoo and Aquarium for $5 a person, a full day of giraffes, zebras and the rest within easy reach.
Admission runs during regular park hours, 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Buy your tickets at the gate. There are no online sales this year, so plan to pay when you arrive.
There are some updated guidelines this year, so read before you go. Each valid state-issued photo ID showing a Somerset County zip code gets you up to four people, the ID holder plus three guests. Everyone in your group needs to prove Somerset County residency with a valid ID, and groups can present more than one ID if they need to cover more people.
A couple more things to keep in mind. The $5 rate covers general daytime admission only. There are no refunds and no reschedules.
It is a favorite for a reason. Pack water, wear good shoes and get there early enough to enjoy it.
