PA Property Tax and Rent Rebate Deadline Extended to December 31
Pennsylvania extended the Property Tax/Rent Rebate application deadline to Dec. 31, 2026. Rebates of $380 to $1,000 for eligible seniors and people with disabilities.
Good news for a lot of folks on the mountain: Pennsylvania has extended the deadline to apply for the Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program to December 31, 2026. If you or a neighbor qualified but never got around to the paperwork, there is still plenty of runway.
The program, funded by the Pennsylvania Lottery, provides rebates on property taxes or rent paid in the previous year. Rebates range from $380 to $1,000. Who is eligible? Pennsylvanians age 65 and older, widows and widowers age 50 and older, and people with disabilities age 18 and older. The income limit is $48,110 a year for both homeowners and renters, and half of your Social Security income does not count toward that limit, which puts the program within reach for more people than you might think.
The state has already sent $224.4 million in rebates to 372,291 Pennsylvanians this cycle, so the checks are moving. You can find details and apply at the state revenue site at pa.gov. Sen.
