Trailhead Brewing Company has a new beer, and it comes with a name worth knowing. The T-Bird Lager is named for Tom Close Jr., and every pour helps the local fire departments.
Trailhead rolled out the lager over the weekend at both of its locations, in Rockwood and Confluence, and the weather did its best to spoil it. Flood warnings, tornado alerts and steady rain were not enough to keep folks away. The local fire departments turned out too, and the day turned into a good one at both taprooms.
A share of every T-Bird Lager sold goes to support the fire departments, including the Confluence Volunteer Fire Department. Buy a beer, help the firehouse. That is a deal most people can get behind.
Trailhead had plenty of people to thank. In Rockwood, the Rockwood Fire Department, Station 623, kept everyone fed. In Confluence, the HuntChef food truck handled the cooking. Music kept the energy up all day, with Tom Weir playing in Confluence and Hayley Belardi, Jeff Perigo and Brian Furman playing in Rockwood. Behind the taps, beer-tenders Ashley Rugg and Hannah Hamer kept things flowing from open to close.
