Janet L. Toye, 83, Somerset, passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at UPMC Presbyterian, Pittsburgh. She was born July 5, 1943 in McKeesport, a daughter of the late Gerald and Leota (Smith) Baker. She is survived by her children, Jacquelyn Toye, Confluence, Robert (Kevin), Pittsburgh, Brian (Janie), Confluence, Jennifer Lottig (Bo), Somerset and Jeannine Dean (Bill), Uniontown; grandchildren, Caleb and Elijah Leonard, Kyle McCormick (Samantha), Alexis Tiuch, William Toye, Tyler Dean (Lauren) and Zach Dean (Sumer); 4 great grandchildren and brothers, Gerald Baker, Jr., West Newton and Alan Baker (Betty), Vanderbilt. Janet was a retired LPN and a member of the Milford Global Methodist Church. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Saturday at the Humbert Funeral Home in Confluence, where a service will be held at 1 PM Sunday with Pastors Rusty Johnston and Doug Burns officiating. There will be viewing one hour prior to the service on Sunday. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Humane Society of Somerset County, 204 Whitetail Rd., Somerset, PA 15501.
