Tired of drawing stick figures? The Confluence Creative Arts Center is running an introductory still-life class on Thursday, September 17, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The fee is $15 and registration is through confluencecreativearts.org.

You will work on hand-eye coordination, breaking complicated objects down into simple two-dimensional and three-dimensional shapes, and reading light, shadow and depth. The class is built for beginners, ages 12 and up, and artists of all abilities are welcome.

Bring whatever confidence you have. The stick figures will keep.
