The Confluence Creative Arts Center opens the new year with a variety show where perfection is strictly prohibited. Saturday, January 16. Community potluck at 6:30 p.m., show at 7, by donation.

The no-talent portion is the point. It is a low-stakes evening built around bizarre skills, quirky habits and the wonderfully useless gifts that never make it to a main stage. Family-friendly walk-on acts are encouraged, so if you have something you can only half do, this is the room for it.

Bring a dish. Bring the act you have been threatening everyone with.
