Connellsville turns back the clock to 1755 over the weekend of June 27 and 28 with its annual reenactment of Braddock’s Crossing.
The event marks General Edward Braddock’s crossing of the Youghiogheny River on his march toward Fort Duquesne, a moment from the days when this corner of Pennsylvania was the frontier of a young country.
Things get underway Saturday, June 27, at 11 a.m. with an opening ceremony. Reenactments are set for 1 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday, weather permitting. The event runs through 5 p.m. Sunday, June 28.
