DateMonday, June 15, 2026
Time1-6pm

Public comment on the sale of the Indian Creek Valley Water Authority will be received at two public hearings.

The Pennsylvania Public Utilities Commissions will receive comment at hearings scheduled for 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. June 15 at the Saltlick Township Municipal Building, 147 Municipal Building Road, Melcoft.

Last year, Pennsylvania American Water offered to buy the independent, nonprofit water authority for $32.8 million. PA Water, a private, for-profit company, said it would invest $8.9 million in the authority’s infrastructure after acquisition.

Indian Creek Valley Water Authority was formed in 1965 and serves some 2,700 customers in Fayette and Westmoreland counties, including Ohiopyle and Donegal.
