Fingerstyle guitarist and singer-songwriter Michael Gerholdt comes to the Confluence Creative Arts Center on Saturday, October 24. His Intro to Fingerstyle Guitar workshop runs 5 to 6 p.m. for a $20 fee, the community potluck starts at 6:30, and the show begins at 7 p.m. by donation. Gerholdt lives in western New York and plays an eclectic mix of old-time acoustic blues and folk rock, along with Blind Blake, Paul Simon and Bob Dylan. His playing has been described as sitting somewhere between James Taylor and Hot Tuna. Expect songs you know, stories behind them, and originals of his own.
