HOAGIE SALE
The Flood Recovery Hoagie Sale will be held at the Ursina Church of God on Saturday, September 5. Doors open at 9:30 a.m. Hoagies are $5 each. All proceeds go to families hit by the August flooding.
Preorder by Thursday, August 27. Call (814) 395-5945 or find a scout. There will be a limited supply at the door, which is a polite way of saying preorder.
WHO IS DOING THIS
The sale is organized by the Confluence Scouts and the United Community Youth Group. Nobody put them up to it. They saw what the water did to houses around Confluence and Ursina and they went and got a sandwich order form.

Five dollars is a fair price for a hoagie anywhere. It is a better price when the change ends up in a neighbor’s kitchen.
