— May 17 in Confluence
If you care about the Youghiogheny River Lake — and if you’re reading this, there’s a good chance you do — this is worth putting on the calendar.
The Friends of the Youghiogheny River Lake and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will hold their Annual Membership Meeting on Sunday, May 17, at 2 p.m. at the Outflow Campground in Confluence. The meeting will be held at the Constitution Tree Pavilion, located at the end of the campground.
Everyone is welcome — longtime supporters and newcomers alike. It’s a good chance to meet others who care about the lake, learn what’s happening, and find out how to get involved. No membership required to attend.
The Yough Lake is one of this valley’s great resources. The people who show up for these meetings are the ones who help keep it that way.
