CONFLUENCE, PA – PennDOT has officially deployed the “Gorilla Glue Structural Reinforcement Initiative” on Route 523 after discovering the road was being held together by pure willpower and Tissue Farm coffee.

Crews shut the road down for 15 minutes while one guy applied industrial-strength Gorilla Glue directly into the crack as 12 other workers stood nearby with their hands in their pockets supervising the operation. Traffic backed up for six miles as drivers were told the road needed “just one more coat.”

Witnesses report the repair is expected to last anywhere from 14 minutes to “until the next sunny day.” PennDOT then plans to rip the entire road apart again next Tuesday anyway.

The Tissue Farm has agreed to supply coffee for the duration of the project. It is unclear whether this is a comfort or a contributing factor.
