Casting: Theater Camp Presents ‘Peter and Wendy’
Confluence Creative Arts Center theater campers present the musical Peter and Wendy on July 25 at 4 and 6:30 p.m., part of the town's America250 celebration.
The Confluence Creative Arts Center’s theater campers will take the stage on Saturday, July 25, with two public performances of the musical Peter and Wendy, at 4 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. The show is part of Confluence’s America250 celebration, and it is open to all.
Here is the impressive part. The campers, all local students, begin casting on July 21. One week later, they put on a full-length musical. They will work under the professional direction of the Missoula Red Truck Touring Company, with Ben Phillian on piano.
That is a lot to pull together in a handful of days, and it does not happen without the people who run the place.
Which brings us to Ben, Jody, Jay, and all the helpers at Confluence Creative Arts Center. Between theater camp, eco-art camp, concerts, and a steady stream of programming for kids and adults alike, they do an enormous amount for this community, most of it behind the scenes. Confluence is lucky to have them, and this weekend is a good time to say so.
So come out on the 25th. Watch what a week of hard work and a room full of kids can do.
Second star to the right, and straight on till 6:30.
