PennDOT has announced lane restrictions and short intermittent delays on Route 653 — Main Street — between Bridge and Market streets through April 10. The work is in preparation for a streetscape improvement project, with crews deploying traffic control signs and clearing the corridor.
According to Madolin Edwards of The Daily American, who first reported the story, the delays are expected to be brief. The project itself is good news for Rockwood in the long run — streetscape improvements are worth a little patience at the light.
