June 11 Through August 13
Starting June 11, the Confluence Community Center at 711 Logan Street will be hosting a Summer Youth Cafe – free, healthy Grab & Go meals for any young person 18 and under. No cost. No sign-up required. Just show up.
The program runs Mondays and Thursdays from 11 a.m. to noon, all the way through August 13. Breakfast and lunch are both included. If you know a family in the valley who could use this – and there are plenty – pass it along.
The program also needs volunteers. Karen and her team need help distributing food bags, milk, and unloading coolers between 10:15 a.m. and a little after noon on those same Mondays and Thursdays. It is a couple of hours of your time, and it makes a real difference.
To sign up to help, ask questions about the program, or register a child, contact Karen at 814-395-3042 or email ConfluenceSummerFoodProgram@gmail.com.
