Turkeyfoot Valley Area High School marked a milestone on Sunday, May 31, when 16 members of the Class of 2026 walked across the stage at the school’s seventy-first commencement exercise.

Stanton Smith earned valedictorian honors. Jessica Pepe, who also served as class president, was named salutatorian.

Here is the full Class of 2026: Gabriel Barlow, Shiloh Bonnell, Rianna Culp, Emma Holliday, Mackenzie Holliday, Brady McClintock, Nevaeh Minton, Gage Mitchell, Kiley Mitchell, Jayna Nieves, Jessica Pepe, Bronson Perez, Stanton Smith, Alyssa Stimmell, Leighton Storey and Daniel Younkin.

In a school as small as Turkeyfoot, a graduating class is not a crowd of strangers. These are kids who grew up together, rode the same buses, played on the same teams and have known one another since the early grades. That makes a day like this one feel less like an ending and more like a send-off from people who actually know you.

To every member of the Class of 2026: congratulations, and good luck out there. Wherever the road takes you, whether that means college, a trade, the service or a job close to home, Confluence and the Turkeyfoot Valley will be cheering you on. Come back and visit. We will want to hear how it went.
