Fort Necessity Battle Anniversary, July 3, Farmington PA. Marking the 1754 Battle of Fort Necessity — the young George Washington’s first major engagement — at Fort Necessity National Battlefield. Special programming at this National Park Service site.

Fayette County Fair, July 30–August 8, at the Fayette County Fairgrounds in Dunbar, PA. Ten days of livestock, rides, entertainment, demolition derbies, and fair food. Visit fayettefair.com for the daily schedule.

Spirit of the River Wine and Art Festival in downtown Ohiopyle, May 30, 11 a.m. Free to attend. 50+ craft vendors, food trucks, live music, and wine and spirits tastings ($25 ticket for tasting area). Supports Ohiopyle Borough and local organizations.

4th Annual Fayette County Fiber Festival at the Fayette County Fairgrounds in Dunbar, June 6, 10 a.m.–4 p.m. Free admission. Hand-dyed yarns, raw fleeces, artisan goods, food trucks, and a new Fleece to Shawl Demonstration.

Music on Main returns to Veteran’s Park in Rockwood on May 2, 2–6 p.m. Live music by Port Vue, food vendors, Trailhead beer, 4th Annual Keg Race at 4 p.m., e-cycling, and children’s activities.
